Anyone here still paying for traditional cable alongside IPTV?

I am currently looking at my monthly bills trying to trim down expenses, and my traditional television package is easily the biggest line item. A coworker told me he completely ditched his old set-top box over a year ago without looking back, but my neighbor swears by keeping a bare-bones broadcast plan active just in case his home internet connection hiccups. That got me rethinking the whole iptv vs cable debate and staring at my own statement, wondering if holding onto both is just paying double for the exact same channels.

Does anyone here still pay for a traditional cable or satellite package alongside an IPTV subscription, or is keeping both just throwing money away for a safety net you rarely use?

I can understand wanting a foolproof backup when regional broadcasts or major weekend events glitch during high-traffic hours, but paying an extra sixty or seventy dollars a month just for peace of mind seems hard to justify. For those who used to run both setups side by side, what was the final straw that made you drop the legacy provider for good? Or if you still maintain both, does the reliability of traditional delivery actually make the duplicated cost worth it for your household?
